1 package active dry yeast or Rapid Rise Yeast
1 cup warm water (105 -100 degrees)
2 1/2 to 3 cups flour (keep 1/4 cup aside for dusting)
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 1/2 tablespoons oil of your choice
Add Yeast to warm water and mix well until dissolved. Add to food processor.
Add Flour 1/2 cup at a time in food processor. Pulse in between adds.
Keep slowly adding flour until dough has formed a ball that is slightly sticky but not watery and not dry. If needed, add more water (if dough is dry) or more flour (if dough is too sticky). You should be able to hold the ball in your hand without getting your hands too sticky.
Take out of food processor and lightly dust counter with flour. Knead a few times until you have a well formed dough ball.
Oil a large glass bowl. Add dough. Turn in the bowl until coated with oil. Cover with dish towel and let rise for 1 hour in warm draft free place.
After 1 hour, punch down dough. Sprinkle a little flour on the counter and begin pushing dough into circular shape.
Put onto pizza pan and spread to edges. Form rim on the crust to help hold ingredients in.
If desired, brush crust with melted butter and sprinkle on poppy or sesame seeds.
Bake at 450 for about 10 minutes. Take out of oven and load with pizza toppings. Bake for another 10-15 min until toppings are warm and crust is brown.
